Steve Biko Suffer a setback in the second division league

Steve Biko’s first division return aspirations have suffered another upset after their 2-0 defeat to second division league leaders Sporting Real at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium over weekend.

The Bakau giant killers are sitting fourth in the second tier with 9 points before facing Real De Banjul feeder team, who are topping the standings with 16 points.

They were hoping to flog Sporting Real to increase their hopes of returning to the country’s premier league next season following their demotion to the second division last season but their quest for maximum points failed to materialise as they suffer on the hands of sport real with that great performance delivered.

Sporting Real scored two goals in the game without Steve Biko replying to salvage their lead in the summit with 19 points in seven league matches. Steve Biko now dropped to fifth in the second tier with 9 points after seven league matches.

Coach lie Bojang and the team will definitely be working hard in other to secure a returned back to the Gambia Football Federation First Division league next season but the ball is on their circle.
