CAREER DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUNG GAMBIAN PLAYERS

Now have you ever advice a young Gambian footballer on career development? Or what will your advice if you are tasked with that responsibility? Well arguably every emerging young talented footballer growing up in the Gambia, dreams of one day playing professional football in the Premier league, la Liga, serie A, or even the French Ligue 1

For these developing talents, the opportunity of playing professional football in Europe, the America’s or other parts of the world hardly comes by young talents in the Gambia resulting to some of them making desperate moves in their quest for Professional football in Europe and other parts of the world.

well if you are a young talent dreaming of reaching the pinnacle of Professional football, here’s an advice on career development by the Head Coach of FABU FC Sulayman Sanyang ,who said ‘’players are in a rush to play professional football in standard league around the world but at the end this is not good for them and there career as well because as a player you need to take your time hence football is a ladder,

what I believe is that each player developing yourself should wait for their right time to arrive and excel in life ‘’ he stayed Also, when ask about poor encourage from clubs. the tactician responded ‘’ poor encouragement is the key thing that players are facing as at now because if you can’t motivate a player you should avoid wasting his time and as a player you need to be ready for challenges at any time.

we have all seen it here in our league football most in our various clubs where after playing even a single dame is not offered to you as a player for that club .so it really disturbs their career and get frustrated at early age .

I think in the Gambia we have seen a lot of talented players who can deliver in any level but at the end of the day we can’t see that coming players just been wasted here .i think it should started from grass root ‘’ sanyang added.

FUBU coach also talk on a very important point by mentioning that ‘’you know football starts with grass root level and most of our players even a basic football are not trained on how to do basic football at the end of the day if you force your self to play football at the first division at the end you will encounter problems because this players will be here but will not listen to instructions but consistence is also another factor .

here you can motivate a player but at the end that key word consistence is a crime ‘’ the gaffer concluded .
