The Lions went into the break 4-1 up but the hosts, buoyed by their electric home crowd scored four stunning second half goals to turn the game on its head. at the Serrekunda Eat Mini Stadium, the Petroleum Boys scored twice through Muhammed Jallow in the 36th minute and Salifu Colley six minutes into the second half, giving them a strong lead. The latter goal was a penalty after Colley kept his composure to convert from 11 yards when he was brought down in the box.
Biko never relented and created numerous scoring opportunities, but their profligacy in front of goal became their undoing. Their efforts, though, were rewarded in the 77th minute when Abdoulie Manneh headed in an Ebrima Marena textbook cross.
Biko pushed for the equalizer but Fortune defended resolutely to quell any hopes of a remarkable comeback.
