Star Academy FC have been crowned champions of the 2024/2025 NBRFA Women’s Third Division League

following a resounding 4-0 victory over Central Baddibou United in a final played at the Farafenni Mini Stadium. The trophy presentation was held in a colourful ceremony graced by officials, fans, and regional football dignitaries.

Star Academy’s in-form striker Nanding Demba was the star of the show, netting a brilliant brace to inspire her team’s triumph. She was supported by goals from Nato Njie and Fatou Jallow, as the Essau-based side put on a dominant display from start to finish. Central Baddibou United, despite moments of promise, were simply no match for the pace, precision, and tactical discipline of the champions.

 

As winners, Star Academy FC were decorated with the official NBRFA trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize of D60, 000(Sixty Thousand Dalasis), while Central Baddibou United, as runners-up, received a consolation of D40, 000(Forty Thousand Dalasis). The victory marks a historic milestone for Star Academy and adds to the growing momentum behind women’s football in North Bank Region.
