The Satayba boys beat Qelemes branded Hawks FC 2-0 reclaimed top spot in the Gambia Football Federation Division 1 championship. The Satayba boys captain, Ebou Kanteh, once again prove his credentials.

Ebou, was Brikama United most outstanding player despite not registering his name on the scoresheet. Hawk FC have their moments in the early stages of the contest but they were wasteful. Ousman Gomez for instance hit the woodwork when he should scored from closed range.
Ebou Kanteh, Habibou Mendy and Lamin Balajo then inspired Brikama United to produced one of their best display in the season or if not the best during the season so far. Brikama United diminutive winger Salifu Saho, broke the deadlock just at the stroke of half time.
Salifu Saho touched and change the direction of Modou Manneh’s powerful shot to give the Satayba boys a deserved lead going into the break in the 45th minutes. Brikama United continued from where they stop in the first half.
Ebou Kanteh was all the pitch dribbling and dancing pass players with his usually trademark marauding runs. The scoreline could have been bigger had not been wastefulness of Brikama United young forward Momodou Bojang or the magnetic gloves of Hawks FC goalie Yankuba Colley.
Momodou Bojang scored late on during the match to dashed out any hope of an unlikely comeback from Hawks. Brikama United experience midfielder Sainey Sambou, played an excellent through ball to Momodou Bojang who scoop the ball beyond a rushing Yankuba Colley to made it 2-0 for Brikama United in the 87 minutes.
Brikama United are on top of the league with 25 points, two points more than second place team Gambia Armed Forces.
