concluded its review of a formal petition submitted by Sabach Sanjal Zone concerning the NBRFA Zonal Semi-Final match played on 13th December 2025 at the Kerewan Football Field. T

The petition alleged that Toubakolong Zone fielded an ineligible player, Musa Bojang (Jersey No. 13). Following due process, the matter was referred to the NBRFA Investigative Panel, which examined the case in accordance with the applicable GFF and NBRFA rules and regulations. The match had originally ended 0–0 in regulation and 5–4 on penalties in favor of Toubakolong.

After verification of official Gambia Football Federation (GFF) competition records, the Investigative Panel established that Musa Bojang featured in 28 league matches for Walidan FC during the 2024/2025 GFF Second Division League season, accumulating 1,088 minutes of playing time. In reaching its decision, the panel applied Article 6 of the GFF Competition Rules and Regulations, which restricts players who have featured six (6) times or more in national league competitions from participating in Nawettan competitions.

The panel further relied on Articles 1.1.6 and 1.1.7 of the NBRFA Zonal Championship Rules and Regulations, which prohibit the participation of restricted players and prescribe sanctions for eligibility violations.

Consequently, the Competition Department confirms that Musa Bojang was ineligible to participate in the said match, and that Toubakolong Zone acted in contravention of the NBRFA Zonal Championship Rules and Regulations. In line with Article 1.1.7, Toubakolong Zone has been forfeited the match, which is awarded to Sabach Sanjal Zone with three (3) points and two (2) goals, while the player is formally disqualified from the competition. This decision is taken to uphold the integrity, fairness, and credibility of football competitions within the North Bank Region.
