Coach Saintfiet Alters Squad Outlook As New Fifa Rules Kick in

As the D-day of the Gambia Scorpions vs Gabon AFCON qualifiers looms in, the Scorpions head coach Tom Saintfiet has been forced to alter the outlook of his initially proposed squad to face Gabon in the first leg of the AFCON qualifiers to take place in Libreville (Gabon) on 12/11/2020.

A couple of players have recently pulled out of the squad due to the new FIFA rule, injuries sustained during the weekend clashes for their clubs. Vicenza fc new boy Lamin Jallow and Fc Zurich’s Assan Ceesay, both forwards are reported to be sick and will not make it to part take in the Game against Gabon on Friday.

Muhammed Badamosi sustained injury during their game against Beerschot which ended in a 10 goals thriller, 5 goals apiece. Alasana Jatta is out injured. Alassan Manneh, Nuha Marong, Sulayman Bojang, Ebrima Darboe are all been been refused access by their clubs due to the new FIFA rule.

Modou Barrow another absentee has given family issues as reason to excuse himself while Yusupha Bobb has some documentation problems. Maudo Jarju announced his unavailability to the squad earlier.
