Coach Abdoulie Mubarak Jallow: “Universal Sporting Boys is not only here to compete in the league.”

Serekunda London Corner based GFF 3rd division league team Universal Sporting Boys FC has earned themselves a point in their opening match against Pel Sal Villa FC.

Speaking to Logic Sport News, coach Abdoulie Mubarak Jallow explained that,

“So far so good, we’ve been training for the past three months, preparing for the league and we have now entered the league proper, played and drew zeros, our first game .”

“Hindrance and obstacles comes along your way which is part of the game. It just depends on how best you tackle it and then look forward in attaining your aims and objectives” said the former University of the Gambia gaffer.

“Some of our main troubles were finding a conducive pitch for the team to train on and secondly, the late arrival of our training equipment, but nonetheless, it is better late than never. It has arrived and we are grinding hard.”

“USB is not only here to compete in the league. We have a project that has been formulated by the board and they are working towards it. Among it is to have our own training facility, were we will nurture talents and export them to the outside world.”

“The club president Mr Abdul Salam Ceesay has gone for a tour in Europe and has made some positive contacts and they are definitely looking into it. Hopefully in the future, it will happen” he concluded.

They will be playing against newly promoted side Munduk FC of Latrikunda Sabiji on Sunday the 8th, at the Serekunda east mini stadium in Bundung, at 5pm.
