WAA BANJUL THRIVES ON A SOLID DEFENSE

The new comers of the first division have meanest back line in the top flight of Gambian football as they are yet to concede after four outings in the league winning against Bk Milan and three successive draws against Banjul United, Walidan and Tallinding United respectively.

The capital boys’s energetic performances is symbolized by the “save pair of hands” of goalie Pa Ebou Dampha, a solid back three, with hardworking wing backs with features Pa Amat Cham, Baboucarr Marong, Fallou Njie, Malick Ceesay and Ba lamin Sowe.

Diminutive Captain Ebrima Cham covers every blade of Grass as Edirisa Njie and Modou lamin Sowe provides run and flier at the middle of the park. Mam Adama Secka leading goal scorer of the team last season opened his account in week 1 and is looking forward to add to his tally.

Waa Banjul will take on fellow promoted side Elite United in week 6 to be followed by games against Real De Banjul week 6 and Marimo in week 7.
