Rohr sends message to Nigeria U23 after visiting team camp

uper Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has sent a message to Olympic Eagles after paying a courtesy visit to the team camp in Ismailia ahead of the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations opener Cote d’lvoire on Saturday in Egypt.

The 66-year-old German tactician lands in the host nations over the weekend and he visited Imama Amapakabo led side where he boosts the morale and encouraged the players before the start of the tournament and promised them that some of them will be joining the senior national team soon.

Gernot stated via Nigeria Football Federation official website where noted he’s in Ismailia to support the Olympic Eagles before the team embarks on its mission in Egypt.

“I’m here for a solidarity visit.”

“I believe some of you will join me at Super Eagles someday”.

“This team is full of potentials and I will be here to  watch your first game against Cote d‘Ivore on Saturday.” 

“I hope you will give all your best to make sure the team achieve its aim in this  Afcon U23 tournament.”

“I will be leaving on Sunday because the Super Eagles are also preparing for the Afcon qualifiers.

“The Olympic Eagles will kick off their title defence against Cote d’lvoire on Saturday 9th of November at the As-Salam stadium in Cairo before South Africa and Zambia with the top three teams of this Africa Cup of Nations will represent Africa at the 2020 Olympic Games billed for Tokyo.
