The Gambia To Host 10th Edition of West Africa Deaf football Tournament 2020

The Gambia National Deaf Football team representing the Gambia, on Monday held a meeting with the honourable minister of youth and sport Mr. Ha Drammeh Sidibehb at the MoYS office in Banjul.

The team president Lamin Ceesay reveal to logicsport that an agreement has been maid between them and the ministry to host the 2020 tournament here in the Gambia.

Amongst the issued discussed was the lack of adequate support for team and the difficulties they faced when in Sierra Leone earlier this year.

The Minister was given a gold medal which they got from Sierra Leone in the recent 2019 deaf tournament. it was the first time that the Gambia Deaf football team have claimed medals and position in the sub region. The trip was fully sponsored by MoYS through National Sports Council and with help of The Gambia High Commissioner in Freetown Serra Leone.
