After the Controversial identity saga claimed by bild.de a German online media, came the possibility that Bakery Jatta may play in the future for the U21 of the DFB As the Hamburger Abendblatt reports claimed.
Joti Chatzialexiou, sporting director of the national teams, says no chance for the 21-year-old Hamburger SV professional player to play for the German U21 team.
“Jatta is currently not our topic, there is still a long regulatory process that he has to go through like any others,” said Chatzialexiou, according to the newspaper.
Stefan Kuntz wanted to help Bakery Jatta to naturalise so he can join the U21s .
“I’d like to try and help Bakery with the naturalization because I want to convince him of the U21,” Kuntz had said.
But even a naturalization via a quick procedure would take months.
Jatta’s performances did not go unnoticed as the Germany U-21 Coach Kuntz wasted no time to convince the FA to persuade the young and versitle forward to switch allegiance.
Since his call-up for the next Gambia Game against Angola, the FA will be hoping that he consider his country of birth the Gambia,
