Reigning League Champions MacDonald United on Thursday got their first win of the Canon sponsored Banjul Nawettan with a narrow 1-0 defeat of Janta Bi.
Alieu Badara Jack got the only goal of the game in the 27 minutes of the first half to earn MacDonald their first three points of the Nawettan following their 1-0 lost to London City on their first outing. MacDonald United now have 3 points in two matches while Janta Bi are without a point and bottom of Group A after losing both their fixtures so far.
Meanwhile Lancaster United’s struggles show no sign of stopping as they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Veterans (All Stars) in Group B, on Friday 13 September at the KG5 Mini Stadium. Lancaster United are bottom of the group after collecting just a single point from three matches while All Stars have 2 points in the same number of matches.
On Saturday 14 September, Fire House will take on Ngoyan at 4:30pm in Group B. Both teams won their first group games ahead of the tie.
