Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has responded to his FIFA 20 ratings – urging game creators EA Sports to “explain” a few things.
Gunners striker Aubameyang said he was “ok” with his score of 88 after the ratings for FIFA 20 were released on Monday.
However, the 30-year-old Gabon international didn’t seem impressed with all his ratings, and urged fans to weigh into the debate on Twitter .
Aubameyang has been ranked 25th among the world’s top players for the latest instalment of the hugely popular game, with a whopping 94 for his searing pace making him third fastest on the planet behind PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane.
But fans slammed his 85 for shooting after he fired 35 goals last season, with his Premier League tally of 22 landing him the Golden Boot prize along with Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
Aubameyang was rated 80 for dribbling, 75 for passing, 69 for physicality and 37 defence.
The Arsenal hotshot took to Twitter on Tuesday, posting: “88 Gen !!! I’m ok with that but you guys from EA should explain me something’s that I don’t understand !! what’s your thoughts on my fifa 20 rating card guys?!”
One Twitter branded Aubameyang’s 85 for shooting “a scandal”, while many said his general rating should have been at least 90.
And some blasted EA Sports, with one saying “EA don’t watch football” while another asked: “What are you smoking over there @EASPORTSFIFA?”
One even went as far as to claim that Aubameyang’s rating was “the worst mistake in EA’s history”.
Arsenal fans weren’t the only ones unhappy with the FIFA ratings, with Liverpool fans questioning why Roberto Firmino and Fabinho were given the same ratings as last season.
