Tennin Football Team “Old Hands” Crowned Champions In Global Properties 6 A Side Football Tournament

The Global Properties 6 a side sponsored football tournament final was on Wednesday evening centered at the Elite football ground in Kololi, in which Tennin Football Team “Old Hands” won Global Football Team 3-2.

Both teams were composed as much of the ball was been controlled and knocked around in the opening minutes.

Tennin forward Lamin Jaiteh alias Klinsmann hard a one on one encounter with the Global keeper Amadou Ndure, but was denied by the goal stopper.

Jaiteh was again opportune with another chance which was laid by his play maker Amadou Sallah, but the clinical finisher squandered it.

Global’s sharpshooter Tairu Kujabi wasted no time in poking the ball to the net from a counterattack they built just after Jaiteh failed to scored .

Chief executive officer of Global Properties Saul Frazer also engraved his name on the score sheet just 7 seconds into the second half.

Tennin brought in former Scorpions’ defender Abdul Rahman Konateh to reinforced their giddy defense line. Known for his overlaps and powerful shots, Konateh tried several shots but all of them went off the post.

Few minutes later, Tennin defender Muhammed Drammeh scored a deflected shot.

A long range shot was angled at a 90 degree to the Global goal post which was incredibly saved by Adama Ndure.

However, a controversial goal was awarded to Tennin on which Global football team winger Babucarr Samba was deliberately fouled by pushing, which was ignored by the referee and that led to Sulayman Jagne equalized for Tennin.

Tennin star player Amadou Sallah scored another in the dying minutes making it 3-2.

Speaking to Logic Sport News after the match, the Global striker and CEO of Global Properties Saul Frazer revealed that ” Just like any other boy, i played football when i was a kid and when i went to abroad, i took it very seriously and i played up to 2nd division in Sweden. I met them in the 4th division, we got promoted into the 3rd division and eventually to the 2nd division. But i came to a point where i realized that i couldn’t be a Ronaldo or a Messi so i gave up football and i went to further my education.”

“The tournament is amazing, cos it brings people from all works of life together. You see a lot of people on the field today who you will not normally see out in the streets or even if you see them you will not know who they are. But here we are friends, colleagues, which is good for business and for the community.”

“Regardless of where you work and what you do, i think you should spare at least a couple of hours a week, to exercise to get your body work. It’s healthy, it brings togetherness and it’s fun. You just cannot be in the office all day and everyday. So it’s good to be here and exercise the muscles.”

“I was approached by the organizers to sponsor the tournament which i did. This is not the first time and definitely will not be the last. Who ever knows Saul Frazer or Global Properties knows that we are very much involve in the community. We sponsor lot of events, both sports, arts and culture, you name it. It is something that we are fun of. We were hoping to take the trophy back home, in our office, but we lost in the last minute.”
