The Gambia Senior Secondary School Male team on Sunday the 4th of August 2019 cliched the principals’ cup following their heavy defeated over Nasir Senior Secondary School by 4-1 in a final that pulled out a large number of fans from various school to cheer up their men and women at the Stadium.
Dawda sankareh, Mawlana Camara and Abdoulie Baldeh were all on the score -sheet but it was Abdoulie Baldeh who netted a brace following his wonderful performance with a 4-1 win over Nasir Senior Secondary School Nasir senior Secondary School continue to fought hard for an equalizer but could only reward their efforts with a consolation goal through Momodou Alieu Jallow before regulation time of 90th minutes.
And as winner in the male Category Gambia Senior Secondary School went home with a giant trophy and cash price of 75,000 dalasi whilst runners up Nasir Senior Secondary School pocked 50,000 dalasi for the efforts put in the final.
The school’s football tournament was sponsored by GTBank in partnership with the Gambia Football Federation for the championship, which is gear towards grass root football development in the country.
