The Gambia National Under 23- team narrowly defeated Brikama United in a friendly match played on Saturday the 27th of July 2019 at the box Bar Mini stadium in Brikama.
The friendly serves, as a preparation test for both teams as the Gambia Under 23 team will be competing in the Wafu Championship to be held in Dakar this year whiles the Brikama united will be representing the country in the CAF club championship in the weekend of 9-11 of August 2019 against Roja Casablanca of Morocco in Banjul.
However, both sides started the match well with a lot of entertainments but it was Coach Omar Sey and his under 23-team came out victorious at the regulation time of 90minutes though, coach Nyassi and his Brikama united also have some moments in the match after a brilliant performance but that luck in front of goal was not at hand from the players as they suffer a lone -goal in the match .
Brikama United is boosted by the return of Sulayman Saho and Sainey Bojang fondly called powerful following his return from Sheik Jamal Football club in Asia. It ended 1-0 in favour of the Gambia National Under 23-team.
