The recently crowned Gambia domestic league Champions Brikama united suffered a goal to nil defeat by their arch-rivals Gambia Armed forces in the ongoing of the Alagie Omar Sey football competition in a match played on Tuesday the 25th of June 2019 at the Brikama Box bar mini stadium.
The match started with a minute’s silence to the late Omar Sey. However, Brikama United where the better side in the match creating a lot of chances through Ismailia Badjie on series of occasions but the lad was wasteful in front of goal. Driving his shot into the hands of goalie Baka Ceesay, who was really outstanding throughout the game.
Brikama United where later punished after failing to capitalised on the numerous chances they squandered as when Omar John placed his perfect header into the top corner of the post with exactly 10minutes to the end.
The Home side Brikama United fought back hard for an equaliser but Gambia Armed Forces were equal to the task as they Stood Firm, warding of all threats and putting them to bay. It reminding one nil in favour of Gambia Armed Forces
