Bombada football club share spoils with Gunjur united in the final Game of the Gambia football federation Division two league In a match played on Monday the 17th of June 2019 at the box bar mini stadium in Brikama.
However, both sides got off to a perfect start in the Game creating some goal scoring chances in the early stages of the match. The home side Bombada should have put their noses in front through Mustapha Njie with a penalty in the 26th minutes but the Attacker ended up blasting his shot on the cross. Muhammed Tamba of Bombada open the scores to give them the lead in the 36th minutes with a fine finished.
The visitor Gunjur United, regrouped themselves and mounted pressure on Bombada. They came close on two occasions to levelling the scores through Bakary Touray but the lad ended up missing all chances in the 40th and 43th minutes respectively.
On the 69th minutes, the visitors Gunjur United levelled through defender Saikou Touray who rose high above the back four of Bombada with a powerful header following a cross from Bakary Touray.
Ten minutes later, Gunjur United came close in adding a second through Aboubacarr Demba who managed to dribble pass a couple of Bombada’s players before blasting his shot into the hands of goalie Ebrima Sonko.
The results now mean that Bombada football club finished 4th in the 2018-19 season whiles Gunjur united occupied 5th Place in the table standing, one all the final scores between Gunjur United and Bombada Football club.
