Brikama United striker, Momodou Bajang’s fine header in the 69th minute was the only goal of the encounter as both teams chase for the 2019 GFF title. The City Boys gaffer further said that the defeat to Brikama United is not the end of their hopes for the title race this year, noting that they will continue to fight up to the end.

“This year’s title race is between us, Brikama United and Gambia Armed Forces despite our loss to our tight competitors. For us at Real de Banjul, we are going to fight extra hard to win the title,” he said.

Real de Banjul, is faced with a major setback following star player, Pa Modou Sohna’s trials in Morocco with FUS de Rabat but Coach Njie noted that “Pa Modou’s absence might not affect the team as there are capable players to fill his position.

According to him, they registered their fourth defeat this season through mistakes, adding that in football, mistakes must occur for someone to win, that they will go back to the training ground to rectify their mistakes as well as go all out for the title.
