New town FC sinked high park FC following their 3-1 thrashing over the weekend in the ongoing Kunkujang Mariama tournament. In a Game that was played on Sunday the 26th of May 2019 at the senior secondary school ground.
New town started the match well and should have gone ahead in the 20th minutes, as Lamin Badjie’s shot hints the cross bar. Despite a large share of possession enjoyed by New Town, It was High Park that broke the deadlock in the 27th minutes by Sam Gomez’s header from Alex Bass’s cross.
However, towards the break, Sanna Darboe for New town open his account of the season with a well taken shot that deflected on Sang Mendy Before rolling into the bottom corner of the net to make it a 1 all.
15 minutes from the break, Sanna Darboe scored his second from a long rang shot that went direct into the net living goalie Michael Gomez ball watching in the 67minutes. Three minutes later, Samson Mendy added a third goal for New town Football club with a simple touch following a pass from Sang Bass in the box to make it 3-1.
His goal secured the maximum 3points for new town football club as they continue their unbeaten run in the tournament . It ended 3-1 in favour of new town.
