Striker Baboucarr Jammeh’s double helped inspire Tunjereng United to a slender victory over Sanyang United in the week-six fixtures of the 2018-2019 West Coast Region third division league match played at the Tunjereng football field.
Jammeh opened the scores for the Tunjereng-based club in the 43rd minute of the game before netting the second goal in the 47th minute to secure all three points for his team.
Sanyang United reacted and managed to pull back one, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for them. After six league matches, Tunjereng are still leading group A with 15 points after six games while Sanyang United are with only 2 points in six league matches.
Tunjereng United team Capitan Yaya Ndong said’’ his team is ready to gain second division next season’’ whiles manager Omar Jabang ‘’said his team is doing extremely well in the West Coast Regional third tier’’, adding that they will clash with Breweleng this Friday at Tunjereng football field.
