BANJUL UNITED DENTS WALLIDAN FC TITTLE HOPES

Abdoulie Sarr and Muhammed Samba scored in either of the half to dent Wallidan FC’s hopes of winning The Gambia Football Federation Division 1 championship in over a decade.

Wallidan FC, started as the better side in the first ten minutes of the encounter. Gambia International winger, Ousman Sillah bent in an inswing shot towards the top right corner of the Banjul United post but the Banjul United goalie dived to his right to avert the danger.

Muhammed Samba, secured the maximum points for Banjul United when he tap the ball beyond a rushing Wallidan FC goalie to increased his side’s lead to 2-0.

Wallidan FC, fought hard to bring parity into the match but all their efforts bore fruitless for them for much part of their mouthwatering encounter. Ousman Sillah, meanwhile help them to scored a consolation goal for in the 75th minutes when Banjul United netminder parries his thunderous shot to his own defender and the ball bubbles into the net and eventually reduced the deficit to 2-1.
