SPORTING REAL COACH DETERMINED TO WIN SECOND DIVISION TROPHY

Sporting Real head coach, Saikou Manjang said he and his boys are well determined to win the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League trophy after continuing their unbeaten run in the league standings.

Speaking to The Point Sports shortly after his side were forced in to a 1-1 draw by Serrekunda East Bi at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium on Thursday, Coach Manjang said his main desire this season is to become the league champion and develop his players.

The Real de Banjul junior team is top of the Second Division League standings with 23 points after nine games, winning seven and drawing two so far in the season. Manjang, who is fondly called Mourinho, said one of their objectives is to produce quality young talents.

“I was training with kids for a while now without engaging them in to any competition.

We decided to register the kids at Banjul Regional Third Division League where we became champions by winning the league in 2017/2018 season.”
