GFF CC: GFF Lodges Appeals against Adewale Oloufade

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) wishes to inform its stakeholders and the general public that it has appealed against the decision, of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), to dismiss our protest against the eligibility of Togolese National Team player Mr. Adewale Oloufade.

It would be recalled that CAF last month dismissed our protest against the said player, claiming that the Togolese Football Federation was able to prove that Mr. Oloufade was born in Togo and is indeed eligible to player for its national team but his double registration on the CMS was an administrative error.

Consequently, the GFF further wishes to inform its stakeholders and the general public that after careful study of the said case, our legal advisers believed that we have a case, thus their advice for us to launch an appeal.

In the same vein, CAF have since acknowledged receipt of our appeal and said the case will be submitted to its Appeal Board who are expected to receive the said appeal in its next meeting scheduled to be held on 10th February 2019.

In the meanwhile, we would like to reassure all that we will keep our stakeholders and the general public abreast on the development of the case.
