Greater Tomorrow Football Academy, scored two late goals in either of the half to comfortably beat Busumbala 2-0 in their opening match of the West Coast Regional Football Association (WCRFA) Third Division League.
Busumbala Sanjonding, were the first to settled in the match but they were lacking the cutting edge to penetrate the Greater Tomorrow defence. The match was full of flairs and swagger as both teams were knocking the ball with confidence and urgency.
Greater Tomorrow Academy’s Lamin Badjie ensured his side went to the break with a lead. As he weep in a beautiful goal in the 44th minutes. After the break, it was all Busumbala Sanjonding but they failed to convert any of their chances they created.
And as it is an unwritten law in football, when a team does not capitalised on their chances, there opponents will surely capitalise.
Saikou Gibba put the match beyond Busumbala Sanjonding when he robbed Bakary Barrow with ball and slot the ball passed a rushing Busumbala Sanjonding netminder Amadou Jammeh.
