SPORTING REAL SET THE PACE, BOMBADA AND GUNJUR SCORED FOUR

Second half goals from Lamarana Jallow and Alieu Barry helped Sporting Real to opened up a 6 points lead at the summit of the league.

West Coast Region giants Bombada FC and Gunjur United were the other big winners. Mustapha Njie, scored a brace as his side scored 4 without a reply against a very poor Lions of Banjul team who are struggling to get points following their good start to the league.

Bombada FC’s 4 zero win has projected them to 3rd position in the league table standings. Coach Yahya Manneh’s Brufut United played a barren scoreless draw with Latrikunda United.

Senegalese born coach Alagie Sey side are now without a in their last two matches. Gambia Immigration has won two consecutive matches for first time this season following their latest victory over the inconsistent Jambanjelly United.

Immigration win against Jam City helped them to move out of the relegation zone for the first time this season. Waa Banjul, continued on their fine run of formed as they had inflicted Red Scorpions 4th defeat of the season.

The Banjulians won nil to occupy second spot on the table. Alifu Bojang’s quality was the difference as Kombo South boys of Gunjur hammered Kiang West 4-1 to sink the Lower River Region boys into the relegation zone for the first time.

Gunjur United are now on 4th position, levelled on points with 3rd place side Bombada with 11 points. Young Africans has traveled all the way to the Jarra Soma and won 2nd Infantry Battalion by a goal to nil.

Coach Yunusa Badjie’s Team Rhino United beat high-flying Serekunda East Bi to levelled points with them on 10 points each. Sporting Real continue to set the pace at the top of the table following their comfortable 2 nil win against Steve Biko.
