UNFAIR SELECTION IS AFFECTING THE GROWTH OF FOOTBALL IN THE GAMBIA

The Managing Director of Ding Ding Yiwa Federation, Alieu Mendy told logic sport, that because of unfair selection in the country is affecting the growth of football in the Gambia and that’s why we can’t qualified in any given competition that we challenging for and to be honest .

if it continues like this in the country then our football will remind the same level which is obviously not a good sign for the Gambia . In truth not that, we don’t have good players in the Gambia ,there is a lot of talented players within our various centers or regions and I can tell you the country is really bless with crops of talented players which I believe we can have a very strong team that can represent the Gambia in any given Competitions .

you can served as my eye point of view ,Kombo South Alone can produce a better national team talk less ,moving around to the Gambia Football Federation recognized football centers to tapped players that can easily represent the country .

The manager forwarder went on, to talk about parent’s involvement in the selections of their kids to be part of the national teams by bribing the Gambian coaches of various categories but dose that are poor and can’t afford the same strength are sideline for the proper selections.

I wish the former coach of the senior national team Paul Putt to once return in taking up responsibilities as the Boss of the senior national team. Because during his tenure the progress of Gambian Football was flourishing good but now too much of parents involvement towards selection of our players.

When those that are rich always have a say in any given selections but the poor ones with that gift from God are sideline which is not contributing good to our football developments.

Finally Alieu Mendy urge parents to bring an end to a situation like this when it comes to players’ selection in other to get a Standard team that can bring enjoy to the Gambians. By Pope John Paul Mendy
